Facebook Driving ICT Adoption in Africa

http://www.ictworks.org/news/2009/08/02/facebook-driving-ict-adoption-af...

Well, am not surprised. I think the need to participate and to be heard is stronger than the pull against westernisation and ICT usage. Boko Haramists, the joke is on you. The usage of facebook is growing 3x the rate in US. Oh well, little wonder Etisalat is using their txt based status update to drive uptake of their Easy Cliq sim packs. They did not fool me though. They charge 20 bucks for a one page SMS. I could spend half that on GPRS costs doing my usual facebook routine (check notifications, scan friend requests, read messages, update status, log out.)

Oh well, this is just chit chat. See yall laters.
